A compatible mix of antique and reproduction furnishings, together with oriental rugs and plain brushed muslin curtains, complete the detailed simplicity of the room.

Mouldings along ceiling and around doors, windows, and fireplace are finish pine (obtained locally).  Casings and mopboards were milled on site from local pine.  Fireplace surround was fabricated on site from pine.  Finish floorboards are #3 pine boards, prefinished on site, and face-nailed in place with old-style cut nails.

Walls and ceilings throughout house are skimmed drywall painted a stark white.  Trim throughout is painted a putty color.
